Meet
Dr. Rachael L. Michalak
DentistDr. Rachael Michalak earned her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toledo, where she developed a strong foundation in science, mathematics, and problem-solving. She later went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from The Ohio State University.
Dr. Michalak chose dentistry because she wanted a career that allowed her to work closely with people and truly make a difference in their lives. While she enjoyed the challenging, science-driven environment of engineering, she felt something was missing. Inspired by her father, who is also a dentist, she applied to dental school—and the rest is history.
Today, Dr. Michalak loves the relationships she builds with her patients. She values the trust that develops over time in a family dental practice and takes pride in providing compassionate, patient-focused care.
Dr. Michalak has spent time living and practicing in El Paso, where she has worked to strengthen community connections by organizing a local fall festival. She believes in the importance of building relationships and encourages a lifestyle of “less screen time and more getting to know your neighbor.” Outside of the office, she is an avid runner and enjoys hiking at Franklin Mountains State Park each weekend.
Above all, Dr. Michalak is most proud of her role as a mother. She has one daughter, age 26, who is engaged and set to be married in 2028.
